In the state of Colorado, there is currently an initiative in congress to pass
legislation limiting governments' ability to take private land.

This has been a in our own community recently. In order to expand the high school where we work, several residential and commercial properties were siezed.

Thoughtful civic planning or governmental greed... I guess it depends which side of the property line you are standing when the demolition crew arrives

I like how one community in Maine is trying to make one judge live with his eminent domain decision. They haven't succeeded so far and in fact have been accused of trying to bring revenge, but they claim they are just trying to make the judge live by his own ruling. Personally I am with the 'little guy' on this, taking land for the purpose of furthering economic interests is wrong on every level.
